Trusting Clarify with email and calendar data

Clarify operates using your email and calendar data - without it, none of the features that will save you time and help you build better relationships will work. For many business operators this is a no-brainer, but for others this can be a new experience. We want all our customers to feel comfortable and assured of how we use their data in Clarify.

Here are some of the benefits that you get from Clarify by doing so.

Automatic record creation and update

When you synchronize your Google or Microsoft workspaces, Clarify will automatically create records for people and companies that you email or have meetings with. Additionally, our call recorder will create meetings and log transcription data for users with whom you host Zoom and Google hangout meetings.

Clarify automatically associates people to companies based on domain and allows you to match multiple domains across people and companies, creating a more complete 360 identity profile of a user akin to a CDP.

Out of box data enrichment waterfall

Every record inside Clarify is automatically enriched in a complete data waterfall that includes multiple 3rd party data enrichment providers. This means you don't have to enrich with another 3rd party tool, and instead can rest assured that anytime something is created in Clarify it will get meaningful data associated with it like social handles, domains, company descriptions, locations and more.

We also provide system level fields on these records that contain useful identifying information, such as Last Interaction and Interaction Type to let you know when you made contact with particular people or companies.

Email visibility and collaboration

By ingesting your emails, we give you quick access to all your emails in one spot.

Clarify then creates transparency among your team by allowing users to see subject line and email body for emails selectively across accounts. By default we share subject lines, but not bodies of emails. This can be adjusted - just ask in your dedicated Slack channel.

Sync a new account

When you first login to create your Clarify account, you will be prompted to connect Google or Microsoft. Your email and calendar will not sync and you will not be able to use Clarify until you enable specific permissions in Google.

When this modal appears, click accept or authorize for the appropriate workspace provider.

Ensure that Clarify is authorized to sync your email and calendar.

By default, Clarify will sync records for all email and calendar recipients except those provided on your blocklist. Additionally, we will not ingest calendar events that have no attendees or that are private.

Record blocklist

Clarify has the ability to block specific emails or domains - you just need to ask your dedicated rep inside Slack.

With blocklists, emails from specific addresses or domains will be filtered out of Clarify before ingestion. Additionally, records and items associated to records, like emails and meetings will not be created automatically.
